－－也曾是村上一迷

村上春树《跳！跳！跳！》，完整看过至少14遍。不好意思。那个比喻说读他的书犹如往静脉里注射精神鸦片，没错。现在不看他了。自从某个南方的自以为了得的翻译包揽了村上著作所有翻译之后就再没看过。他把我看过的这本译为《舞舞舞》，大约忘记了说是怎么话的了。

还一本书，值得推荐，《stranger in the mirror》(镜中的陌生人)，通俗小说，写人的奋斗的，夹杂感情故事。大学时看是因为有人说有色儿，看了后有种沉重的感觉。学英语的同学可以来读一下，很容易就被情节吸引住。类似的小说有《兔子三部曲》，三部小说，很热，图书馆里呆不住，还不是因为有色儿，但我想都是被人误读了。不过兔子语言上更难些。

 

－－别光说外国的小说，来本中文的吧，《我是太阳》作者邓刚

当时，大约是十年前吧，真tnnd，咋就那么快？看了小说《我是太阳》感动得一塌糊涂，没多久出来部电视连续剧《激情燃烧的岁月》，我激动地看人就推荐，看看那小说吧，看看那原著吧。把人逼着看了小说。不过，回过头来人家就告诉我说连续剧的原著不是那小说呀，我说不可能呀。结果一查还真就不是，后来才有了打官司的事儿，再后来我也没看到结果，大约没判决剽窃吧。不过在明眼人眼里，那不是明摆着嘛。连续剧所谓的原著我也去看了，那境界怎么能与邓刚的比呀，整个儿写一土匪。邓刚，好样的作家，我支持，记得刚出道时得过青年作家奖，也比现在作协主席强。我不认识邓刚，跟他没亲戚关系。特此声明。

Urumqi has a population of 2 million. Aside from the ethnic minorities, it is a concentration of numerous migrant workers, known as "盲流", who reside in ghetto-like shanties. Weather should be fine but cold after the National Day. I climbed up two little hills overlooking the city. The hills are in fact man-made, used to be piles of rubbish but improved a lot after forestation. In one word, it is a city on the surface given its high-rise buildings. But in essence, it is a big town where the sense of rural life is still ubiquitous though it is the city in China where I saw the most of various new models of cars.  Unlike the numerous historical cities in China, this is a city without much history. What impressed me most in Urumuqi is not the city per se, but Tianshan mountain. The heavenly mountain will probablly be the only reason for my future second visit to Urumqui. A glimpse of the ice and snow capped mountain ...

Btw, sightseeing in Xinjiang is a difficult thing because of its size. Think of it, 1/6 of China.  The scenic spots and cities of Xinjiang are too far apart from each other.
